"Courageous Conversations"

Mission Statement:

“Courageous Conversations” is committed to engaging the parents of underperforming students in the daily educational process of their children. Our mission is steeped in the proven research of the leading contemporary educational thinkers.

“The gap between the attitudes of parents of students in low-performing schools and parents of students in high-performing schools was highlighted in the recent report, One Dream, Two Realities: Perspectives of Parents on America’s High Schools”
(On The Front Lines of Schools: Civic Enterprises, www.civicenterprises.net)

Goal:

“Courageous Conversations” is the brain child of a highly qualified educator. It is this educator’s active response to the mounting body of research that examines academic achievement and the gap that exists between advantaged and disadvantaged youth; specifically, proficient students and below-basic and basic students. To that end, our goal is to “begin the right conversations” and to “complete the final task” of growing effective charter schools that achieve results, develop new approaches, and give parents more choices.
